About the event
Help your kid navigate big anger and frustration before it blows up at home.
Anger is a completely normal emotion, but for kids ages 8–12, it can feel like a tidal wave. When they don’t know how to handle irritation, it usually erupts as yelling, door-slamming, talking back, or shutting down completely.
"Under the Surface" is a high-impact workshop designed to teach kids what's actually driving their anger and how to control it. We pair a fun, interactive group lesson with the safe, physical release of a smash room.
What we are doing:
The Chat: An engaging circle where we look at anger like an iceberg—there's usually sadness, fear, or hurt hiding under the surface. Kids will learn how to spot their emotional triggers and use quick cool-down tools.
The Smash: Under strict supervision and fully geared up, kids will write or draw their biggest frustrations onto breakable items and safely shatter them…
